This is the oldest musical educational institution of Ukraine founded in 1913. During the years of its existence more than 8 thousand prominent musicians and music performers among them such as: E.Gilels, B.Rudenko, D.Oystrakh, K.Dankevich, E.Chavdar, Y.Zak, N.Ogreniz and many others graduated from the Odessa conservatoire.
          Since 1956 musicians from 28 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and America have been trained at the Odessa conservatory (the former name of the Odessa State A.V.Nezhdanova).

          Now a contract system of training foreign citizens has been introduced. The costs of paying for the education at the preparatory faculty to get the language acquistion are (including consultations according to a certain speciality) - $ 1500 USD per academic year; at the basic faculty for all specialities - $ 2000 USD per each year of training (an overall curriculum is 5 years due to which one can afford the qualification of a "Master of Arts" degree and enter the assistant-training course as well as the postgraduate courses in specialities: academic singing, folk instruments, piano, musicology - $ 2500 USD per each year of training (its period lasts 3 years), training in all specialities - $ 200 USD per each month of training.
